Troubleshooting Common Issues
Wood Looks Dry or Rough
Solution: Apply food-safe mineral oil or appropriate wood conditioner
This is normal and indicates it's time for maintenance. Regular oiling prevents this.
Water Stains or Rings
Solution: Gently rub with mayonnaise or a paste of baking soda and water
For stubborn stains, try a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and olive oil.
Strong Odors (Cutting Boards)
Solution: Rub with coarse salt and lemon, or make a paste with baking soda
Let sit for 5 minutes, then scrub gently and rinse thoroughly.
Minor Scratches
Solution: Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper (220-320), then re-oil
Always sand with the grain direction. Deep scratches may require professional repair.
Cracking or Splitting
Solution: Contact us immediately - this may be covered under warranty
Don't attempt to repair yourself as this could void the warranty.
